Nestled in the heart of Glengarriff, Sugarloaf Café & Bakery stands as a testament to the culinary passion and community spirit. Originally established by Eleanor Hourihane, the café has been lovingly managed by her sister-in-law, chef Áine Hourihane, since 2021. Áine, a former chef at the Eccles Hotel, took the helm after Eleanor's passing, honouring her legacy by continuing to offer a warm, welcoming atmosphere and exceptional fare.

Our menu boasts a delightful array of options, from all-day cooked-to-order breakfasts to homemade cakes that have patrons travelling from afar. Áine's baking, especially her renowned coffee cake, has garnered a dedicated following. In recognition of our dedication to excellence, we were honoured with the Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice Award 2024, placing us among the top 10% of restaurants worldwide.
